Mackenna learned she was pregnant in late December 2023 and in January 2024 she took the first abortion pill from the “abortion kit” she received in the mail.
“Immediately upon taking that drug I regretted that decision,” Mackenna said.
Research finds that women seeking abortion believe providers should offer them the option to view the ultrasound.
The study found that “women who visit emergency rooms after taking abortion pills are more likely to be seen for serious medical problems than their cohorts whose pregnancies end with surgical abortions or live births.”
“I speak for the women who are facing emotional, mental, and physical abuse. For the women who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant. For the women scared for their life, and their child’s. For the women who are told that abortion is their only option.”
Pregnancy help organizations exist to ensure every woman has access to accurate information and life-affirming alternatives to abortion in a safe and judgment-free environment.
